Concrete Canoe

Concrete Canoe is easily one of the bigger projects that ASCE UCLA has to offer.  Students work as a team to design, create, and race a canoe made entirely of concrete, displaying the versitility of concrete and ingenuity of civil engineering.  The Concrete canoe team typically has the largest team, with so much work to do, this year made up of two Co-Project Managers and an arsenal of directors.  The mix design, canoe cast, and showcase are all created on site at UCLA by UCLA civil engineering majors.  Getting involved is as easy as showing up to any workday, to be posted soon.

The University of California, Los Angeles has proudly represented the Pacific Southwest Conference five times at the national level (1994, 1996, 1997, 2008, and 2010).  Click the link below to see details on our national placement in past years.
