Invest in the future.

Every dollar donated is another investment into some of the brightest and hardest working civil engineering students in the nation.  Your generous donation goes into supporting club activities such as conferences, banquets, projects (which continue to compete and place in national competitions), IM sports, and even this website.  Very few things in life come free, and with your generous support ASCE - UCLA will be able to uphold it's high level of excellence for generations of civil engineers to come.

In addition to monetary gifts, the UCLA-ASCE Student Chapter relies heavily on the generous donations of time, expertise, and raw materials to support its many projects and acivities.

Time and Expertise

Speaker nights, interview workshops, skill (e.g. surveying) training, career fairs, and field trips are all made possible by the generous donation of time and expertise by engineers.

Raw Materials

Our steel and concrete design projects require materials that, to a group with a limited budget and fundraising capacity, are very expensive. Examples of materials include steel tubes and plates for the annual bridge contest, and concrete and formwork components, such as plywood, foam blocks, lightweight aggregates, reinforcing materials like carbon fiber and fiberglass for the annual canoe, concrete bowling, and related contests.

Other Goods and Services

Our organization also benefits greatly from the donation of other type of goods and services, such as transportation of our 20-foot canoe to and from the annual competition, color printing services for project reports and funding proposals, automotive painting facilities for the concrete canoe, and computer equipment for our office.
