American Society of Civil Engineers

Unlike other projects, Seismic Outreach isn't a competition based project.  Rather it is a new outreach program originally launched by UCSD and later expanded to UCLA this past academic year (2013-2014).  The program is new and requires a lot of help.  K'Nex need to be bought, schools need to be contacted, and (most importantly) there must be volunteers.  Getting involved is easy.  Simpy contact our project managers Allison Light or Zach McFann.  Both are passionate about the project and the impact it will have on our community.  The Seismic Outreach program aims to engage students in science and engineering.

 

The goal is to hopefully motivate aspiring children to pursue a path in engineering through exposure to civil engineering in a fun and interactive way.
