The Concrete Sports competition includes two events: Concrete Bowling & Concrete Horseshoes.  In both competitions, our team creates a design that balances aerodynamics, strengths, and aesthetics. During the PSWC2013, the UCLA Concrete Sports Team placed 4th in Concrete Bowling, and 5th in Concrete Horseshoes.  Practicing technique in both will hopefully show a higher placing in the 2014 conference.  The project is scored on design, strength, and aesthetics of the concrete ball & horseshoes as well as the ability to bowl and pitch.  This team aims to have fun while still competing at a high level to take home gold at the regional level while having some good laughs along the way.

Concrete Sports

Our goals for next year:

-Create a stronger design for the horseshoes

-Become better bowlers/pitchers

-Create a reusable horseshoe mold for identical,    efficient reproductions

-Take home the gold at conference

Anyone is welcome, and no past experience required!
