The American Society of Civil Engineers was founded in 1852.  It is a national organization with various student chapters in each state.  Our chapter, the University of California, Los Angeles Student Chapter, was founded in 1959.  We also have made long strides, starting from humble beginnings under a few board memebers to a now robust organization with 8 competitive projects, a wonderful seismic outreach program, mentorship, socials, professional development, career fairs, and more.  Please feel free to explore our site to learn about all the activities that we particiapate in.  We guarantee that whatever you're looking for, ASCE at UCLA will have it.
